LinkedTIERRA Care is built around six privacy principles that are not negotiable — not by a product update, not by a terms-of-service change, and not by a future acquisition.
You own the data
The account holder — typically the family member or care recipient — owns all data generated by LinkedTIERRA Care. We are the custodian, not the owner. This is enshrined in our Terms of Service and cannot be changed by a product update.
Consent is explicit and revocable
Every person who can access any care data must be explicitly added by the account holder, with a named role (family member, caregiver, doctor, agency). Access can be revoked at any time with immediate effect.
Full audit trail
Every data access is logged — who accessed what, and when. The account holder can view the complete audit log at any time from their account settings. This applies to LinkedTIERRA staff access as well.
Never sold. Never licensed.
We do not sell care data. We do not license it to insurers, advertisers, pharmaceutical companies, or data brokers. Our business model is subscription revenue — not data revenue.
Health data handled with care
Health-related data (sleep, heart rate, medication, health records) is stored separately from account data with additional access controls. HIPAA Business Associate Agreements are available for clinical integrations.
Security standards
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance. Penetration testing is performed annually by an independent security firm.
